Thank you all for your supportive responses. Tommy- I am watching the sites you mentioned. The Suzuki 140 is a very quiet and reliable outboard and probably is perfect for your 21' Whaler. I am keeping a 1988 Outrage 18 as well as a 1985 Outrage Cuddy 25 for my trailer boats. I toured a Bertram 35 this afternoon and the owner was quite knowledgeable about boats in general and Bertrams in particular. He thinks that the 35 is the perfect size for cruiseing as well as fishing. I have looked at two Bertram 35's and I must admit that they have considerable more living space, but so far they just don't do it for me-- asthetically like the 31 . What upgrades should I be looking for while shopping for a 31? Where are the possible pitfalls? Thanks again.
