Patrick,
I was 24 years old this time five years ago... and it was about this time that year when I realized that I could probably find a bank to loan me enough money to buy my dream boat, (not the smartest fiscal move I've ever made, considering that I was stilling living with my parents... but no regrets here)
I started searching for my boat immediately and I have to believe that you were already up and running. I didn't have any inkling that you were a new site. I remember sending you a link to the Mike Holmes article, "Fishing with a Legend", you promptly put a link on your page, and as I remember you thanked me and asked where I found it. This was intriguing to me, not being aware of your relative youth as a website.
I got a nice opportunity to talk with you up in Newport this year.
I don't want to patronize you, but please understand the gratitude WE have for YOU... You are kind of like a Rock Star to a lot of us, writing webpages (not songs), that we all relate to on a surreal level.
Thanks for expressing yourself in such a way that we all can all envy… and all contribute too.
