If the trailer was still hooked up to the truck, you need to add in the tongue weight. If the boat was properly loaded on the trailer, and the trailer properly set up, the tounge weight was probably about 300 lbs.

If the boat was sitting to far forward, the tongue weight could have been 1000 lbs.

The former would indicate a dry boat, the later would indicate a wet boat.
