Tommy,

The non invasive method is to weigh the boat. Most travel lifts have strain gauges, but 90% of them have been broken for 20 years. Drive to a CAT scale, or a dump, and weigh the boat on the trailer.

If it's wet, it's going to be 1000 lbs heavy...

Otherwise, drill a small hole in the deck and dig some foam out.

And be prepared for the worst...
