Surveyor says...

I had the surveyor come back out to give the boat another long look since he did the first purchase survey.

He had lots of smiles but did not say too much. There was one thing that he did not know how to judge, On my risers, there is only enough room for two small clamps, or one T-Bolt clamp. ABYC says thay want two, but he agrees my single T-Bolt should be better. We will see how the insurance company reads it.

Overall, He values the 77 Bertram 26 at 55K and another 5K for the trailer. 60K for the package.
He noted the replacement cost being 100K for a Grady or Albemarle of the same size.

Lots of hours over the last 18 months and I still have some loose ends to take care of. I have 75K total invested including purchase price etc.

Bruce, you were right about him looking past the boat being dirty (filthy actually) and all the gel coat repair work in progress. He looked at the engines, new rubrail, wiring, bonding system and spend alot of time looking at the things that were previously noted as "not serviceable" during the purchase survey.

I'm sending the survey and the spread sheet of costs to Boat-US this week to get insurance on the Reel Marauder.

Thanks for all the help the Faithful here have been I could not have gotten this far without you guys.

Cant wait till the spring.
