In Response To: Boost Horsepower=3208 Cat's (JR)

The 3208 naturals at 210 hp. perform well in the B31, producing a 22 kt. cruise. The base engine has undergone many upgrades and the last version was up to 455 hp., but is too wide to fit in a B31 - the naturals barely fit. You cannot just add a turbo and boost the hp, as the balance between air intake boost pressure, compression ratio, cam configuration, piston profile, EGT, and most importantly, the injector pump timing and injector size are all factors. Not to mention cooling system capacity and exhaust size.

It all has to work together to be effective and long-lived.
