The T-Bolt clamps you are refering to have a stud with a T-Type end that connects it to the loop on the clamp. I don't think they make a better clamp. There is a learning curve with them. You MUST use Tef-Gel or anti-seize on the fine aircraft type threads of the bolt. Heat will build as you tighten them down and will cause nut to "gaul" or lock on the threads. Once this has happend, the only way to remove the clamp is to cut or break it off, and this is not easy. I'm adding a picture of one.

I agree with UV on the removal. I've used PB Blaster (available from auto part stores) with good luck. I don't think it would hurt the hose but you better read the can first.
