The answer is simply yes. You want to prevent galvanic corrosion between the hardware and the buss ground( Copper strapping) . Also the extra steps to silver solder all connections then anti oxident Penetrox or equivilant , then heat shrink is the most reliable connection for the salt water marine eviroment. Crimp unsoldered connections are meant for the automotive or non salt water enviroments. Dave K
