Rub rail removal and stuff

The rub rail came off really easily! I consider myself lucky. It is actually pretty well preserved, though I did use the angle grinder to slice off the heads of the bolts holding the ends of each section in place. This of course begs a few questions from Captain Pat.

Pat, should I fill the holes with thickened resin or 5200 or does it even matter?

Could you repost the installation advice/directions for the rubrail kit? I will use it in the spring, that is for sure!

From those of you who have done it, will I need to through bolt in the same locations, or can I just screw the whole thing in place along with bedding compound? By that I mean it was through bolted at the joints, and screwed everywhere else. Do I need to do that again, or will screws do in all places.

The normal list of winter projects is coming together, and she will recieve the first shrink wrap under my ownership sometime during this coming week with the rail install to be done this spring. Hard to believe as of this month, I have owned my boat for 7 years... wow.

The wrap will be nice, since I haven't had a tent to work in for 6 years. I have learned the axiom of the northeast boat owner. "There is no such thing as bad weather, only inappropriate clothing."

I think I will hold on to the old rail for the time being, unless someone needs some of it. It came off basically intact, what a relief!

Took me almost 45 minutes to blow all the snow and ice off the boat with a hose so I could wash her and get it ready for the wrap. I much prefer summer.
