UV-

I have mercruiser gassers, and about a year ago I replaced my alternators with single wire alternators. I just attached the old "output" wire to the post for the single wire on the alternator--I have no idea where in the harness that output wire goes.

I want to go over my engine wiring this winter--its all really old--and if I read your response correctly, for the alternator I should just run a single heavy wire from the alternator straight to the positive terminal on the battery. Is that correct? Given that my batteries are both isolated by switches, can I run the single wire straight to the positive terminal on the starter motors? What gauge wire should I use? Thanks.
