Gerry A fellow in Ohio has a 20' Baron just like mine, however he put a 454 in his and claims speeds in the mid 50's. My Baron with stock 327ci 235HP goes about 40. One thing about this hull it seems to be weight sensitive in the stern. The Barons nose really gos high when coming on plane, and I use the trim tabs more on this boat then the 20' Moppie, which has a 170HP 4 cylinder engine. It is totally amazing the different ride and handling between the two boats. Next week you and I can take a spin in the 20' Bahia Mar I will be bringing down from Little River, South Carolina. I can't wait to see if this boat handles differnetly then the other two. Call me Monday of next week. Jim
