Snowing in yankeeland?

Well, the blue states ain't named that for nothing. Had a cold front thru here early Friday and it was cold for here, drizzle, strong north wind, and hi about 63 Friday and yesterday. Went to the camp Friday morning. Dreary days for sure. Got the B20 Bahia all loaded up for Jim Bailey's hauler to pick up in the next few days for her trip to the keys. Floated around in the Goo Boat fishing for a while, no luck, too windy and the water is too high for the sac a lait to bite. All the satsuma (citrus) trees in the camp neighborhood are loaded, fruit just falling on the ground, so we pilfered about 100#.
Then we decided to go to flea markets around the area and got some bargains - a couple of ole time cast iron skillets for a total of $8, got lunch at one place, some superb meat balls and pasta for $4, then cooked up a storm last nite and had all the neighbors over to eat, drink, and watch the LSU-Alabama game on tv. I did mushroom, oyster & shrimp saute' for appitizers and the Bride did a huge corned beef all day in cajun seasonings, mostly crab boil. Neighbor did some cabbage and corn bread. Built a fire in the fireplace and pigged out.
Place looks sort of empty with just the little Goo Boat and Andre's B31 at the dock. Planted rye grass for the winter. Saw a big flock of snow geese this morning early flying in the fog.
Just random ramblings on how we spend our lives here in Coonassland.
