When fogging your engines be careful not to use too much oil.
I don’t know what the correct amount is but don’t go over board.
A couple seasons back, I couldn’t get the port engine to crank in the spring. I was pretty sure it was the starter. But in trouble shooting the problem, I realized I couldn’t get the crank to spin with a wrench either. It turned out that oil left over from the fogging was preventing some cylinders from reaching top dead center.
I removed all of the plugs and rotated the engine with the starter to get the oil out.
This said a lot for the condition of my cylinders on the 10 year old blocks.
But it took me a good hour in the sling to resolve.
