John,

I don't want to sound too nosy, but would you mind if I asked the approximate price you paid for your unit? If you installed it, what was the installed price?

If I am not mistaken, you have to have the pathfinder radar to get the overlay, it does not work with any NMEA standard stuff, so I would end up with the same situation as you with your Furuno. Despite the fact that I have a Raytheon radar, I am guessing it would not be compatible regardless.

I think the only real bummer is that the old Raytheon stuff worked with a C-MAP chip, and I already have one for my area. I would have to "buy it again" for the navionics...
