John-
Check out www.thebassbarn.com and goto the stripers section. I just checked out a post from Thursday. Sounds like the Rips are heating up...check this out.
Left the dock at 6:30am and arrived at our first rip line at about 10 of. On the very first pass we missed 1 on a bucktail. The tide really hadn't started to move all that fast yet and I thought to myself boy the water looks decent! Made a few more drifts with a few other boats around us hooking up, but not us! I looked inside of where were fishing and there was no one there...I made a slight move...On the first drift we went 3 for 3 . For about an hour they continued to bite steady until a few other boats got wind of what was going on. Talked to a friend that was even more inshore then us and had them coming just as good...so I decided to move...Right choice! first drift there produced a triple hookup! We fished there almost to the end of the trip and our final tally for the AM trip was 33 stripers amd 2 big blues!
Most fish were caught on bucktails today...But we did have 6 goodies..and they got used very fast!
Good luck.
