Well, I'm done, about to take the Bride out to eat, and some interesting results I'll share with ya'll, after all, that's what this site is all about.

After the muratic acid wash to clean off the green oxidation, I set to polishing the bronze parts. First I scrubbed with the Never Dull cotton that has a cleaner in it. Did some good. Then put on some auto body compound and buffed with my orbital buffer and a towel bonnet, did more good. Then back by hand with the Never Dull. Still did not look as good as I wanted, so I shot it with Corrosion X - ya'll gonna think I'm making this up but I ain't - and hit it with the buffer again, and it's a mirror finish. Magic in a can.

The bow light/chock is sitting on my bench and it looks like new.

Nice way to spend an afternoon. I'll take some pix tomorrow and offer them up.
