I have Gaffrig gauges, thought they would look cool and of course serve their purpose, however they haven't managed to live up to either. Almost all of my gauges have water in them, none register the correct readings or my engines wouldn't be working, and the good looking portion went away with the fading needle colors and water on the inside of the glass. However, as I express my utter distaste for these gauges, I did talk with gaffrig yesterday and they said to send all of them back and they will replace them for free and assist me in figuring out the problem(what ever that means).
If I could do it over, (and probably will have to) I would go with VDO or ISSO. VDO now has some white faces and different bezels, as does ISSO.
Best of luck either way you go. If you do want VDO black gauges, I think I still have the ones that were originally on the boat when I bought it, and they are in fine working order.
