In Response To: Re: Shaft questions (Capt. Doug)

I have decided that the shafts are going to stay at 1 1/8"--I am going to build a dam just aft of the forward engine bulkhead in the bottom of the bilge to keep water from getting under the cabin area and install a pump just aft of the dam with a float to keep water from spilling over the dam and to the front part of the bilge. This should make my front bilge dry and still be open for water to pass. I am now interested in the TFO material that Dave Kosh is referring to---Does this stuff really work? Also--what is the best procedure for changing my cutlass bearings? 48 degrees today---winterizing the motors tonite.
