I installed the same tube in the ceiling of my FBC
just before leaving for the mid-atlantic. Never thought about that big magnet being so close to the compass. Never use a compass on the upper Chesapeake. Got out in Delaware Bay about 15 miles from Cape May and my Garmin Plotter went out for a couple of hours. Not my best hour. Jk has about the same setup as I do on the "Seanile". 6 Bose speakers and the big powered sub. Pretty sure it helps raise fish....
