First remove your connectors from the tach and clean the pins with a good Anti-oxident such as DE-Oxit 2% solution(1-858-486-8388, Part # D6S-6) it's a 5 oz. spary can. It's majic and used in the marine electronics industry for years.You'll need that around the boat any way for all electrical connections. Check there first then proceed if need be to step two and check tachs at a Speedometer Shop . They will check them for you for free. The last would be your pick-up sensors. First check and clean your connectors. That is usually where the trouble is. Dave K
