Right you are Charlie...

First, Laura Bush was only 17 years old at the time of the accident, (1963). She ran a stop sign, T-boned another vehicle, killing the sole occupant, a 17 year old & fellow class mate. Secondly, she wasn't already an elected official, and still isn't, for that matter.

Not quite as colorful a story as was Teddy's mishap with Mary Jo Kopechne...
