bow light

Ran across a B31 bow light on ebay by accident, not advertised as such, but we all know them, one of the signature items on the Best Boat Ever Built. I was the high bidder, at a reasonable price, and will have it re-chromed and use as a paperweight at the office till it and me retire to the camp.
Weather has been great down here, hot and breezy, and I did the teak on AJ yesterday and this morning. Used the 2 part Te Ka and it works ok, but need to use a stiff bristle nylon scrub brush after the acid Part A has soaked about 5 minutes before coming behind it with the Part B. Sudsy ammonia would not cut the mildew and crud at all.
Simple fact is that teak weathers - and in a hot & humid climiate like ours in Coonassland, things grow on it - and you just have to reconcile yourself to the fact it has to be cleaned and re-oiled a lot. I've been using Amazon teak oil and it works better than most. Also don't be scared to lightly sand it now and then.
Andre' - if you see this, I put your yellow electrical parts box out on the cypress buffet under the camp so you could get to it without getting the key from upstairs. If for some reason you or your kids don't get over to the camp today, let me know and I'll have the neighbors get it and put it inside the shop. On the other hand, I leave stuff out over there all the time, don't even lock AJ, and nothing ever walks away. Must be the lack of democrats in that Parish.
