Adhesive Removal/Hull Thickness

I am trying to remove the vberth carpet and headliner adhesives. On the small various test patches the best thing I have found so far is a grinder with 26-40 grit paper and then laquer thinner to remove the little adhesive that remains.

I am sanding through part of the weave of the woven glass on the inside of the hull to an almost smooth texture in the process of doing this. My question is will this weaken or compromise the structural integrity of the hull, or is it such a small amount of the total thickness that is won't matter.

Or, if there is a better way I'd like to hear it, seems like I've tried them all.
