Dave - while that 8D is new, put about 2oz. per cell in of da Judge's pink battery potion. Before I started using it my 8D's would last about 2 years and since using it up to 4 years and counting, plus batteries seem to use virtually no water with it. You can order it from J.C. Whitney - it's called battery conditioner. Also Minn-Kota trolling motors sells it and probably Wal Mart.
