I agree with the 2 compartments to a point.. My 31 has a low spot at the point about 1 ft to the rear of the bulkhead.& has stayed there gasser to diesel.(I noticed on some 31s the low spot is way foreward near the fore bulkhead..?) I closed it off & added a 2" wood plug . The smells stay aft.& it stays dry foreward. I have three Rule 2000 auto pumps. .
