Well it's just about over up here, I pull out of the water on Monday in time to leave for Lauderdale on wednesday. Not a single tuna fish did i catch in all my 300 hours of boat useage. There was 1 hell of a bite going on too. The quota went from 22 metric tons to about 130 last i looked in less than a month.
There were 9 seiners in the bay last few days(just opened up to them a few days ago) wreaking havoc on the Herring, massive boats 200ft some from New Jersey cruising arround the fleet making huge "Rouge" waves absolutely "raping" the ocean. Huge nets,,,, unreal,,, fish are still here, for how long ?
probably as long as the bait is here,,,and with those boats not for long,,I was hoping to fish the rest of this week but the weather is turning to shiiiiiiit 4 to 6 today,,,6 to 8 rest of the week 20 to 30 wind.,.,just awful,,,,,,,,,,,
Everybody I know took fish except me,,,,even "THUD" sheesh,,,, I guess i need to take a couple of those seminars at the boat show
or ask "Dug" how to chum effectively,.,either way
it was a "rough" year for me.,.,.,
oh yeah
Diesel at the dock ,,,,2$ a galoonsky,,,,,ouch!
Home heating oil $1.80 double ouch
Gas for the car $2 a gallon
It seems to me that rebuilding Irag, for nothing! because we can? ,and subsidizing the world on the backs of the American people is absolutely suffocating us.I can hardly afford to put fuel in my new "Durango" which gets a (conservative) "12" miles a gallon
