Wayne, enjoyed the pix of your beds, et al. Like the install of your Algae X units, clean and neat. Anyone that is not familiar with them remember that they can be installed vertical like Wayne did or horz. but in the horz. mount the round side must be on top, otherwise crud will collect in the round part.

Now, class, let's use Wayne's pix as a way to do things right, and even improve. Notice all the wiring is bundled and secured about every foot with screwed-in fasteners to keep it from flogging around? Now let's think about chafing gear on hoses and wiring harnesses. My view is that every hose must be chafe gaurded wherever it passes thru a hard place, likewise wires. I use cheap rubber heater hose in various sizes from the auto parts place, cut to length, then slice length wise with a pocket knife, pop over the hose or wire bundle, then put a wire tie on each end, pulled up tite to keep it in place. In an application where it wants to shake down the hose or wire bundle, coat the inside of the chafe hose ends with some regular ole Elmer's carpenter's glue, let is get tacky in a few minutes, then pull the wire ties down, and it will stay there forever, but can be removed with hand pressure. It only takes a little time to chafe gaurd all your vital stuff, and will pay off in spades in the short and long run. I have tried to fix a blown hyd. gear hose offshore that would never have chafed thru if I'd spent a few minutes going thru the machinery spaces with some cheap hose and wire ties. Guys, this is what sets us apart from the Blubliner flakes - we care about our boats and look for ways to prevent what hapens to them every day.
