Yep. There is a right way and a lazy man boatyard way. I prefer the right way since it's my boat and my life out there. That method is good and will make your connections last even under salt water. Yes I use only tinned marine wire (Anchor). I buy it by the rolls usually 50 feet or 100 feet.The regular copper will not hold up in a marine enviroment and will result in bad connections in a short time. Nothing worse than turning sometining on and ditto. I sleep better with waterproof connections. Dave K
