Sorry Vic about all the water and yes sir buddy sure does make it stink when that happens. All we can do it clean it up and get on with other matters. When something is not right we have to check the simple stuff first pertaing to galvanic corrosion. Well my washdown pump is OK after all. The hot wire side got some salt water in the heat shrinked connection (Butt)So I re did with silver solder, silicon dielectric grease then heat shrink. That makes it submersible proof. I replaced some more screens from Charlie on the pool enclosure and bride is happy. Boy my port stuffing box was loose again . Good thing I checked. I'm going to see if I can get the original Bertram one piece wet exhaust hose for that function. I don't like the sleeving method that I had to use after I reshafted a couple years ago. Have a good week. Dave K
