1 box macaroni
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp coursely ground pepper
6 tbls butter
1 1/2 quarts milk
1 package extra aharp cheddar
1 package monterey jack

melt butter and coat macaroni
add remaining ingredients
stir to mix
bake at 350 for 1 hour

Adding bread crumbs optional. I like the plain, not the seasoned bread crumbs for this recipe.

Add chunks of ham for interest.

Not your creamy mac&cheese but my family loves it! Try it before you serve it to the friend.
