Is it my computer?

Ever since we've been on the new server, every time I "return to index" to read a new thread, it takes 25-30 seconds of watching the spinning ball and two little books filling with type before i get to the new thread. Very frustrating to me, causing me not to read every "new" item daily as I always used to. It suddenly dawned on me that maybe its my computer. Am I alone or are others having the same experience? I know it was discussed once before.
